David K. Landry, AIA

David Landry’s 46 years of experience have been targeted toward the technical aspects of architecture.  He is particularly adept at quality control, building standards and life and fire safety code compliance.  He is an experienced technical specialist, reviewing documents many times during various stages of project development, ensuring strict conformance with original programming and design criteria and to provide concise and complete documents.  David’s predominate body of work includes numerous school and college facilities, medical institutions to the more recent demand for religious facilities. David has demonstrated expertise in the design and production of educational institutions, having worked on numerous school and college facilities ranging from the Lamar County School multi-million dollar expansions to William Carey University rebuild after the tornado. He observed the construction of a new $11.1 million Oak Grove High School for Lamar County Schools, Phase I and Phase II facilities for the Presbyterian Christian School in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and the new 9,235,000.00 Magee Elementary for Simpson County Schools. His recent educational work has included a new two story Middle/High School building for Purvis, a New Alternative School and New Classroom space in Sumrall, all for the Lamar County School system, also completing a plan for long term growth in one of the fastest growing school districts in the state.

As a partner with LLA, David oversees Computer Aided Drafting operations, having assisted LLA in both gaining and maintaining its reputation as a regional leader in computer-aided drafting and design. David further oversees quality control of contract documents for all of LLA’s projects, having developed the firm’s reputation for detailed, complete, and coordinated contract documents, thus allowing highly competitive and accurate bidding on projects. David’s knowledge of graphic presentation and keen interest in Contract Documents is an invaluable asset to LLA and its clients.

David Landry holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Technology from the University of Southern Mississippi and is licensed to practice architecture in Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana and Texas.  He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, and is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.  He is a member of the American Institute of Architects P.I.A. group for Architectural in Education, and the Construction Specification Institute.
